My Dad's brother is designing a book and it's going to be super cool.  Take the time to watch his video.  You won't be sorry, I promise!

Weekend Fun

We spent this beautiful weekend outside!

Saturday we went to a first B-day party.  I only got the before shots because the camera battery died.  Too bad.
Lexie LOVED the pool. She sat in the water and splashed and splashed.  Josh took her out so he could have a break and she crawled right back to the pool!  We should get a small pool.

After church on Sunday I spent some time sunbathing in the backyard.  Alexis and Josh joined me after nap time.

Our little Blue Devil

Our week

Ready for the YMCA!

For Mom and Katie and anyone else on the WW plan
I've been eating these wraps post workout as a way to add more protein without too many calories.  I'm thinking it's about 20 grams of protein.
1/2 cup egg beater+salsa+ wrap=3wwpoints

A Shopping Trip
Today we went to Khol's to pick up some dress shirts for Josh.  Look what I found on the 80% off rack.  I just couldn't resist them.  My winter wardrobe need some major work, and these purchases will help :)

This is my life
Last night I went to dinner with part of the MOPS group.  The blogging topic came up.  We all agreed that we'd like to be more like those women who's houses are perfectly put together, create wonderful diy projects, and have the very best household management ideas.

Then, Emily mentioned that she once knew a mommy blogger who was totally different in real life then on her blog.  Kelley said she knew one too.

Just in case you were wondering, this is my real life.  I have posted the picture from this am to prove it.

The cleaning schedule that I made up lasted a total of two weeks.   In addition to this mess I also have a kitchen sink full of dishes and two dirty bathrooms.  On the kitchen table there's a stack of coupons waiting to be organized.  I owe $22 to the local library for two overdue dvd's that we only watched once.  Around my only plant (which I've miraculously managed to keep alive 4 years) there are piles of dirt that Lexie was playing in and probably eating too (I can't say because I wasn't watching).  I have about six dyi projects waiting to be finished.  As I write this my daughter is SCREAMING herself to sleep.

So there you go.  That's the life.  I'm always searching for time management ideas which will help me maximize the amount of time I can spend with Lexie while minimizing the household management tasks.   I think I'll start by turning the computer off :)

The Drugstore game

$3.86

First transaction at Walgreens was the Wheat Thins
They were on sale for $2.  I used a $1 off coupon.  I paid $1 and got a register reward for $2 back.

Second transaction was for the other four products you see:

Reynolds Wrap on sale $1.84.  I had 2 $.75 off coupons.
6 pack Scott paper towels on sale $3.99.  I had a $1.50 off coupon.
Tiny pack of popcorn on clearance for $.19.  No coupon.
The total came to  $4.86.  I used the $2 Register Reward, which means I spent $2.86.

It's called the drugstore game and that's how you play it!  We do not eat Wheat Thins (although, I love them)  but Walgreen paid me $1 to get them, so it was worth it.  I will serve them as an appetizer with some sort of dip this Friday :)  Everything else we use a LOT of!
